This poster has been here on the office wall for over 30 years. I’ve never seen another anywhere. It’s likely the only survivor of its kind. By some stroke of luck it’s managed to survive all the moves I’ve made since 1968!

Back in the day, I’d played the clubs for a couple of years and was beginning to feel that I needed to test a bigger crowd. Andy Matthews of ‘Les Cousins’ fame, helped me to hire St. Pancras Town Hall. At the time, I was being ostracised by a couple of attested but testy members of what was known in 1968 as ‘The Underground’. Even though I played at ‘Middle Earth’ and ‘UFO’ etc., there were some who couldn't see further than my acoustic guitar. The title of this concert was part of my reply, and is part of a longer story.
